MOVIE REVIEW : FROM HELL

This film From Hell is directed by Hughes Brothers and is an adaptation from novel about the Jack the rippers murders. Setting of this film are in year 1888 in the Whitechapel district in East London. This movie is based on the true story several  of gruesome murders and starts when Inspector Abberline played by Johnny Depp put the charge of the case. The murder victims is a group of  prostitutes that a friends with each others. The murder is totally gruesome when firstly he slashes all the prostitutes throat to avoid them from screaming and kill them. He also cut the victims in ritual.The scenery of the movie match with the mood.  It is very dark and dreary.

At first, i dont even know nothing about the case of Jack The Rippers. However, after i watched this film and i became more interested to know about Jack the rippers instead. In my opinion, this movie is a good movie and made the audiences keep thinking critically all the time while watching the movie. 

ALL THE COOL KIDS ARE QUITTING FACEBOOK

A technology reporter from New York Times Jenna Wortham stated that Facebook is continuing grew rapidly in year 2009 till 2010 but the number of the percentage decrease drastically . On the other hand, we can say that Facebook phenomenon is reaching down day by day. There are many reasons why certain peoples have starts deactivating their Facebook account which it 
means they are quitting from that social networking.


According to the article, Jenna mention that some peoples who steer clear of the site say it can have the opposite effect of making them feel more, not less and alienated.In the article also stated that some people connecting with their friends through Facebook by only see their friends pictures and updates which is they never communicate with each other but they know current updates from their friends.


In my opinion, facebook have both advantages and disadvantages. For example nowadays, many of our friends and family send their wedding  invitations through facebook which for me is not a proper thing to do.But, it will affect our relationships with others if we continue doing something like that because we only interact through the social networking but not in reality life. We also should use facebook as medium to interact with our family and friends but not as a medium to keep telling everyone your problem on facebook status. Some people might have their perception on what did you post on your wall. In other hands, you should keep some privacy of your life or other people might know all about your life.

Based on my reading i found that this article is quite hard to understand at first but yet it still keep my interest to keep on reading. According to the author Bertrand Arthur William Russell happiness can be divided into two sorts. The two sorts of happiness might be distinguished as plain and fancy, or animal and spiritual, or of the heart and of the head. Russell also included his time during childhood which is when he was a boy he knew a man that bursting his happiness with digging wells. In the year 1895 Russell could neither read or write and he got a vote for  parliament, he learn that for the first time that such an institution existed . His happiness was  not only depends on intellectual sources but also it was based on physical vigor which means a sufficiency of work and the overcoming of not insuperable obstacles in the shape of rock.

   The author of this article also said that there was another sort of happiness which are for scientist and also artist.According to him the happiest person of the present day are the men of science because most of them are emotionally  profound that they derive pleasure from eating and even marrying while artist and literary men consider it necessary to be unhappy in their life such as an in marriage. The art people find that it is hard to find happiness. They must make the public understand their works or else they will consider has produced the terrible art works. The circumstances shows that the artist are less happy than the scientist  because they are having to choose between being despised and being despicable.
